  • Review: As is typical with the Jeppesen books, this one covers pretty much everything for CFI/CFII/MEI. It goes beyond what is required to pass the test and helps develop good background. What's best, as with all the Jeppesen books, is that the material is developed in the text, then the book provides a review a key concepts, followed by a quiz. This is a training guide, not a study guide.

Not disappointed at all!...

  • Pros: Excellent educational source. Information is presented with text and graphics that make complicated concepts easily understood. Very entertaining!
  • Cons: Sometimes the graphics and side notes are TOO COOL, making concentrating on tested material tough..... But, that's not really a Con, is it?
  • Review: Met expectations as ALL of the Jeppesen Manuals are very informative, entertaining and educational. The Flight Instruction Manual is no exception as the information is presented thoroughly, interesting and in order that is easily digested. My only complaints about this and other Jeppesen Manuals are they might contain too much cool info that can sometimes distract you from concentrating on the tested materials.... But, you can never know too much when it comes to aviation, especially when it comes to instructing!

Generally Helpful but not a quick Read

  • Review: Has a lot of good information, some a little dated. If your looking for test prep or a FAST CFI course, this book probably isn't what you want. I'm on a 2-3 month CFI target plan so this book is good to read as I'm traveling to keep me grounded top to bottom.
