Review: Simple and small size fits in your pocket. Comes complete with desktop charger. Sound is good, best thing is the ease of use, not hard to program. Yaesu is a giant in the ham radio industry and their quality bleeds over in the radio.

Review: Simple, clean and easy to operate. Clear and has a great range for receiving and transmitting. Great purchase I made with this one. Best backup you could have if you loose your main radios.

Pros: Very good transciever considering the price and standard accessories

Review: I have used the ICOM extensively, but Yaesu transciever is much better, which is lighter, and not short of capabilities.

Pros: Very good comm receiver. Don't need the transmit function very often
Cons: Squelch is cumbersome to adjust ... but we got used to it.
Review: Had to buy a second FTA-250L since my daughter will not give my other one back since she got her PPL

Pros: size, easy to store and carry, has a desk charger and power cord
Cons: squelch is too hard to use, have to access thru the menu, hard to do while flying.
Review: So far I have only used it on the ground, the one time I tried to use it in the air, it would not break squelch at the lowest setting, it really should have a separate squelch control instead of trying to find it in the menu
