Durable smart design

  • By Lee from Hayward WI USA on Wednesday, April 26, 2017
  • Pros: Smart use of storage and clever durable design
  • Cons: I honestly have none at this time
  • Review: I was looking for quality, efficiency and durability in that order for e replacement over-nighter. The FC-5 delivers on all three of my criteria. No hesitation to recommend it to another road warrior!

Absolutely perfect!!

  • By Jeane C Gross from Raleigh NC on Monday, January 28, 2019
  • Pros: Well made, exactly as expected with plenty of space for everything you need for an overnight trip or daily as a multi-purpose office/personal bag.
  • Cons: None so far.
  • Review: I purchased this as a Xmas gift for my daughter who works for the Dept of Commerce, walks 2 blocks from the state car garage and frequently carries her laptop, lunch, coffee thermos, dress shoes, workout clothes, etc. from car to office. She was using an over the shoulder large bag that became very heavy and was becoming difficult to manage. I noticed this bag used by flight crews and thought this might be the perfect bag for my daughter. She also has to travel frequently for work across the state and this bag holds everything she needs going on site visits: contracts, paper files, etc and very easy to maneuver from car to large plants and small businesses. It also fits on to her carry on bag to make traveling by air very convenient. My daughter LOVES her bag and her co-workers do too!! It's a big hit!!

Better design than the vertical version

  • By Posh from Seatac WA USA on Thursday, May 18, 2023
  • Pros: The space and utility for crew use
  • Cons: The zippers on this needs to be a little more tougher.
  • Review: This carry on is thoughtfully designed for crew in mind. Enough space for an overnight and maybe a 3 day. It has plenty of pockets. It is a little more resilient from wear and tear. Keep some consideration and care for the bag and it will last a long time. Does the job. Better than the vertical version, just my preference.

This bag does exactly what I want it to do!

  • By P from Bangor, Maine on Tuesday, August 31, 2021
  • Pros: This bag in wonderful. It has enough room for everything I need to stuff into it.
  • Cons: Not sure if 8 1/2" X 14" paper actually fits. But, I rarely need to transport prints of that size.
  • Review: I ordered the bag to replace a large computer case with a shoulder strap. Since I have the main compartment stuffed full, the bag takes a bit to tip onto the wheels, but the handle extends to a nice height and the bagt holds all my portable office stuff just fine. The computer fits into its spot snuggly and the area for a tablet will fit my tablet as well.

Very nice - bought another one.

  • By A Customer from Ithaca NY USA on Tuesday, March 25, 2025
  • Pros: Small, tough
  • Cons:
  • Review: What it looks like - a very well made small 2-3 day carryon that fits in the overhead of CRJs, has quiet skate wheels, pockets for different gadgets and computers, with a main compartment for clothes and other stuff.

Great little bag

  • By Cindyluwho from Ontario OR USA on Tuesday, April 12, 2022
  • Pros: Looks great. Compact. Good quality.
  • Cons: This bag seems to be very heavy even when empty.
  • Review: Great-looking. The handle, wheels and zippers are heavy duty. Very durable. As I get to know it better and get used to packing it efficiently, I’m sure I will grow to love it.

  • Review: For me, buying this bag was a mistake. I wanted a bag sized for stowing under a typical airline seat. Since I naively assumed this was designed for that role, I did not take the time to compare the bag dimensions to the carry-on requirements of American Airlines.

When empty, this bag requires 10.5 inches of clearance to slide it under a seat. AA specifies that underseat bags be no more than 8 inches high. AA's spec for the short dimension of bags in the overhead bins is 9 inches. Thus, this bag is not approved for the cabin on any AA flight. Perhaps it would actually fit on some larger AA aircraft, but I'm afraid to even try this bag on the small regional jets that I typically use.

I'm sure that airline employees and very experienced flyers understand perfectly how this bag can and cannot be used. All other shoppers should carefully consider bag dimensions and airline requirements, and not assume (as I did) that is bag is suitable for most underseat spaces.

I wish I knew what rolling underseat bag I *should* have purchased for my needs. :)

Great bag, but doesn't work for me.

  • By Cliff from TX USA on Thursday, October 22, 2020
  • Review: Its a great bag and well made, but I wanted a bag that you can set on its side and the main compartment opens all the way. This is a "square" bag so if you could put it on its side all the items would be easy to access. This one you have to keep it vertical so everything you place in the bag ends up stacking up on top of each other. Even if you put it on its side you then have to use one hand to hold it open while digging around with the other hand to pull items out.

Bigger than it looks; Not an Overnitter

  • By A Customer from Bronx, New York on Wednesday, October 15, 2025
  • Pros: Strong and good quality
  • Cons: Not an overnitter bag; will not fit under seat
  • Review: It's a good quality, strong Travelpro bag. However, it is NOT an overnitter bag, and it definitely will NOT fit under an airline seat. But, if you're travelling for a few (2-3) days and don't want to bring a heavy regular-sized roller bag, this would be the bag for you. It can carry *almost* as much as a regular bag, yet half the size.
