Men's Pilot Shirt Sizing

We offer pilot uniform shirts from Van Heusen, AeroPhoenix, and A Cut Above Uniforms. These shirts are available in several fits and styles, including tapered, tall, men's, ladies, short sleeve, and long sleeve, depending on the brand and shirt.

Men's pilot shirt sizing: men's pilot shirts use standard dress shirt sizing.

• Short sleeve shirts: sized by neck only
• Long sleeve shirts: sized by neck and sleeve length

If you already know your regular dress shirt size, order the same size here. If not, follow the steps below to measure for the best fit.

How to read dress shirt sizes
The first number is the neck size, and the second number is the sleeve length.
Example: 15 1/2 32/33 means a 15 1/2 inch neck and a 32 or 33 inch sleeve.

What you'll need
Use a cloth tape measure. Having another person help you will make it easier to get an accurate measurement.

Step 1: Measure your neck

Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your neck, where your shirt collar would normally sit when buttoned.

• This measurement is your neck size
• Dress shirt neck sizes increase in 1/2 inch increments
• If your measurement falls between sizes, round up to the next 1/2 inch
• If you prefer a little extra room, add 1/2 inch
• If you like a more generous fit, add 1 inch

Another simple method is to leave one or two fingers between your neck and the tape measure while measuring. Your shirt collar should button comfortably all the way to the top. If the top button feels too tight, the neck size is too small.

Step 2: Measure your sleeve length

Stand with your arm relaxed at your side and slightly bent at the elbow. Place one end of the tape measure at the center back of your neck, then measure across your shoulder and down your arm to your wrist bone.

• Follow the natural curve of the shoulder and arm
• Add 1 inch to this measurement
• Round to the nearest even number to determine your sleeve length
