This is an electronic DOWNLOAD of the ASA Commercial Pilot Prepware software. It is the exact same as the CD-ROM version, except that you must download the software and apply a license code after downloading. The download is approximately 250 MB and may take a while on slower connections. You do NOT need a connection to the internet after the software has been downloaded and activated. The software can be used offline once activated.
After purchasing, allow up to 8 hours for an email with an activation code and instructions for downloading the software. Nothing will be shipped to you. Delivery via email only.

(Windows XP), 1.0 GHz or faster (Vista and Windows 7). 345 MB available hard
drive space. 256 MB System RAM (Windows XP), 512 MB RAM (Vista), 1024 MB
(Windows 7), 2048 MB (Windows 8/8.1), 4096 MB (Windows 10). Microsoft .Net
Framework v4.0. If your system does not have this version of .Net Framework
already installed, the Prepware installer will install the correct version
before installing the program.
Macintosh computer with Intel processor. 324 MB available hard drive
space. OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), 1024 MB RAM. OS X Lion (10.7), OS X Mountain

ASA offers a solid, basic commercial test prep package based on recent FAA test questions. Each section presents topic-related questions with immediate feedback for incorrect answers.
I found it helpful to review the explanations for questions I got right as well as for my wrong answers. The explanations corrected what I did not know, clarified areas where I was shaky, and helped cement the material I knew.
This software is not a replacement for "lecture style" test preparation. But as a low cost alternative for pilots who can absorb material well from reading it (as opposed to the read & hear experience of a lecture), its a great value.
