The Flight Instructor's Guide to Endorsements Overview:

Every endorsement the active Flight Instructor needs to provide clear, concise and accurate endorsements for their students. Compiled by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, it includes notes and guidance to the instructor. In addition, there are sections to record the endorsements made which complies with the CFI Records Rule and a TSA training log, both of which meet regulatory requirements. This book was created to assist the Flight Instructor in managing properly the endorsement responsibilities place on them by the FAA. All endorsements are in order of use. Notes accompany most of them to assist and guide the instructor. The CFI Records section takes care of the CFI Records Rule AND has proven acceptable to the FAA when applying for The Gold Seal Instructor designation or CFI renewal. The BFR/IPC section of the book helps keep clients coming back. The TSA CFI Training section of the book provides a place to record the initial and recurrent TSA security training required of all CFI's. The TSA Citizen Student Endorsement section provides a location to record the US citizenship verification endorsement required prior to beginning flight training.
