This board is sized just right, it has a big enough strap to fit my larger than average thigh and it has a pen holder sewed into the strap. Those little things that makes it easier on the pilot turn average products into great products.

Q: I already have an ASA tri-fold kneeboard for VFR, and am looking for just the clipboard component of the IFR product. (I would like to be able to swap them out.) Are the straps that come attached to this kneeboard easily removed without ruining/cutting them?
A: Yes, the elastic strap with velcro can be easily removed (and re-attached) on this kneeboard so you can use it in your Tri-Fold without any problems.

Q: What is the difference between IFR and VFR? I'm buying this for my 13 year old and am not sure which one to get.
