The RealSimGear Garmin GNS530 bezel provides ultra realistic buttons and knobs for use with the Garmin 530 GPS Nav/Comm in home simulators. This is the best way to learn the functionality of the Garmin 530 and is much more realistic than using the mouse or a touch screen.

This product is especially helpful for learning and practicing instrument flying procedures in your personal flight simulator. When coupled with virtual ATC like PilotEdge or VatSIM this provides the most realistic simulation possible. This allows you to develop familiarity with the Garmin 530 interface and controls so you can be better prepared for actual lessons with your CFII.
This unit features it's own 3.5" LCD screen that is used to display the Garmin 530 pop out screen from X-plane. Installation is simple, there is no assembly, 3D printing, wiring or soldering required, this product comes fully assembled. The unit can be panel mounted in your home simulator or sits on your desktop with the optional stand. The RealSimGear GNS530 device measures 158mm x 118mm and sits 22mm in front of the desktop bracket or panel surface.
Connects to your computer via HDMI. You can connect to any available DisplayPort, DVI port or HDMI port. If you want to connect to a DisplayPort or DVI port you can use any DisplayPort or DVI to HDMI adapter to cable. These cables and/or adapters are NOT included but available from most electronic stores.

Pros: Very well built with realistic functions.
Cons: Software download never did alter the bezel removal despite two attempts. Unit displays a Blue-Green and Yellow vertical line on right side of screen indicative of a defect . Tech support did not offer a workable solution or explanation. I got busy during the holiday's and was not able to return the unit within the 30 day return period. Still, I enjoy using the unit for its immersive and educational value. Despite my experience, I feel it is a good purchase and recommend it to others.

Q: Can this be utilized on all simulated aircraft or does the specific aircraft also have to have the 530 installed? I use MSFS2020 and X-Plane.
