This portable carbon monoxide detector will detect and alert you at extremely low levels with fast response times. The alarms have escalating signals corresponding to the ppm level. It features the industry's most stable and longest life sensor and the sensors never require re-calibration and have a 10 year life-span.

Used it while conducting my Checkride prep with my instructor for my upcoming Checkride. Turned on my defrost because of foggy windshield until it cleared. As we were into my maneuvers the unit went off loud and light was flashing. Turned off the defrost and opened front vents and pilot side window to clear out carbon. My instructor was very impressed with the unit and we continued on with no issues. Had an amazing Checkride prep. Unit works SWIMMINGLY!! Will always have this unit with me in every aircraft that I fly in. Its a No-Brainer!! Not trying to become a NTSB accident report. I have a second unit from Honeywell home Carbon Monoxide detector as well. It showed 30ppm but never went off. This unit went off right away.

I think it is important for the detector to be in view. The visor clip may be really convenient for a car, not so much for a plane. I’ve placed this on the cabin side-pocket on co-pilot side of my Cessna 182. There other detector I purchased was easily mounted on the instrument panel with a small square of Velcro…and has been become my primary detector for ease of use and direct visibility.
