  • Pros: Allows just enough aircraft operational sound to not be annoying, and records everything clearly transmitted/received on radios and intercom. Coil cord permits clean connections without loose cords dangling about in the cockpit.

It worked perfectly in sync with the aircraft radios, intercom, and with not a fault to be found connected through my helmet. Now to produce more footage to put together a video with audio included that will make for good entertainment, or training.

  • Cons: does not plug into the camera well because the case opening is too small
  • Review: Simple and easy to connect. It works as advertised. There were two problems that I had to work out. First, the Gopro 3 case I bought has an opening in the side which was too small for the connector plug to completely seat, so it didn't work at all initially. I filed the opening to enlarge it. That works fine now. Second, the cords, especially the pig tail are really long, which can be controlled with a few small pieces of duct tape. Oh ya, while the description tells what kind of connectors it has, no one could tell me it would fit my helmet. I ended up having to call Gentex to find out if it was compatible.

  • Review: The USB connector that enters the gopro is way oversized. So much so, that it doesn't fit through the opening of the Frame gopro housing. Kind of defeats the purpose of recording audio with a video camera when you can't use a mount.

    Had to use my leatherman to shave it down to fit the opening.
