good value 7-ring Binder
by Dennis from Lynnwood WA USA

Review: Just what I needed to replace my old 7-ring binders

Vinyl Binder is just another vinyl binder
by A Customer from Sturgis MI USA

Pros: I like the 7 rings in this binder
Cons: Won't last long, the hinge is weak.
Review: I was excited to find a 7 ring binder available. I bought 2 of the binders. I thought the binder would last any where from 6 months to whenever, not so. I have been using the first vinyl binder for about 6 weeks now and the hinge part is already caoming apart. This binder is not worth the money. The only difference between the ASA 7 ring binder and a WalMart binder is the number of rings, 3 versus 7. I would not recommend this product.

I've bought a few of them..
by Woody from Lake Forest CA USA

Pros: 7 rings and not too big
Cons: none for now
Review: The price is right and the product reliable. I modify the binder to fit the side window chart clip on B737's and this binder works well as a trip book.

worked well for my intended purpose
by A Customer from Lawrenceville GA USA

Pros: nice "in the middle" size, plus the price is right
Cons: less solid design than leather binders
Review: The 1 1/2" binder was just what I needed; the 1" was too thin and the 2" too big. Only drawback is it is a bit flimsy, but what do expect for 1/3 the price of a leather binder? As long as you aren't using this binder all the time (and I am not) it should last a long time.

Review: It's just what I needed and inexpensive too.

Review: Ok quality for price. This was wider then I expected. I ended up getting the leather Jepp 1".

Just the right size
by Rich from Cincinnati OH USA

Pros: Opening and closing feels solid
Cons: Vinyl cover will wear out eventually
Review: I wanted a Jepps holder that was in between the small ones and the big ones. This is just the right size

Just what I was looking for
by Brian from Lake Geneva, WI USA

Pros: good thickness not too big not too small
Cons: needs a pocket
Review: Binder was the perfect size and quality I was looking for. Only suggestion would be to add an inside pocket. As an airline pilot with lots of checklists, I could use one more place to put stuff. Can't never have too many pockets!

Made in USA
by A Customer from

Pros: good price, and it works, good customer support
Cons: poor quality
Review: Good price, but product failed after two days on the road. Rivets came out holding binder to cover but a new replacement was sent quickly and the new one is still working. The rivets just were not set properly. To bad that when I see made in USA I get poor quality. Used to be different.

Less is More
by Jerry from OH USA

Pros: It is simple. You can organize things in the order that fits your needs.
Cons: It has no side pockets to hold new or temporary material. You're going to need a 7-ring hole punch for pages that are not pre-drilled.
Review: It helps to organize the material you might need access to quickly at a reasonable cost.

Not bad if you just need something to get you by for awhile.
by A Customer from Las Vegas, NV

Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Ring size needs to be larger. It is packed pretty full with only one set of approach charts.
Review: Works for what it's intended for at a good price.

Review: Cheap, serves the same purpose as the real one.

Too small
by A Customer from USA

Pros: Average Binder
Cons: Too small
Review: Not large enough to hold one set of Jep Plates.

Thursday, February 08, 2007
by Rich from Virginia
Pros: Fair price, 7 rings are just fine
Cons: I prefer a flexible/soft binder
Review: Many years (30+) ago the binder was flexible/soft instead rigid. Would like to see a flexible binder version. A spiral binding may be the only option. Need at least 10 inserts.

Review: Good, economical product.

Previous Customer Questions For 7-Ring Binder:
Ask Your Own Question
On Friday, December 18, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
Do these binders also hold the loose leafs govt approach plates, please?
A: No, the 7-Ring Format is only used for the Jeppesen charts.  The FAA (NACO) loose leaf terminal procedure publications (approach plates) are in a four-ring format at the top (instead of 7-rings on the left side).  For FAA NACO charts, you will want to use one of the 4-ring NACO Binders found here.

On Tuesday, February 19, 2008 a customer asked:
Q:
What is the size of the 7 ring Jeppesen binder? Is there a difference between the 1" and 2" (other than the ring size)? Thank you.
A: This binder has 1-1/2" steel rings.  We also offer leather and plastic one inch binder rings and two inch binder rings.

On Tuesday, August 28, 2007 a customer asked:
Q:
Do any of the 7-ring binders have stiffeners so they don't fold up and fall between your legs while you're flying?
A: The Jeppesen Standard Leather 2 Inch Binder (http://www.mypilotstore.com/mypilotstore/sep/2281) does have the stay-open bars.
