Sky High Gear Discovery Flight Bag

The Discovery Flight Bag is a fully padded duffle designed to protect all of your important gear. The Discovery is designed with full sized compartment flaps to allow easy access to all of your gear, before, during and after flight. Also included is another variation of Sky High's Copilot organization feature, allowing easy organization of flight materials and access during flight - there is even a special stow-a-way pocket designed to hold most kneeboards. Everything is right where it should be - especially important during IFR flights. The spacious end compartments and innovative closure flaps make putting away or getting out your headsets and other gear a breeze. The center compartment has a double zipper opening with a padded divider to segment the compartment for easy access and storage.

Just what I wanted

Pros: Everything in the right place
Cons: Nothing to whine about yet
Review: The bag is just the right size for what I do. I fits all the charts and plates I need and seems to hav a place for everything I could think of. It doesn't look like the bag on the website as far as extra decor on the front but as far a function it is great. Only had the bag a couple months so not sure on the durability yet but it is nice to have something so well thought out.

Almost perfect

Cons: too big to sit securely on the passenger seat.
Review: This bag is almost the perfect bag. Loads of storage in a well thought out configuration. Great quality too. If the headset compartments would have been removeable, it would have been a perfect 5.

Camera bag on steroids

Pros: Big. Pockets. Easy to find contents.
Cons: Big (if you're not a frequent flyer)
Review: More pockets and compartments than a photo-vest - almost lose stuff. Good storage. Headset pockets (2) are handy. Long bag keeps shape well. Plenty of room for charts, flips, hand-held comm and GPS. Is a little bigger than I needed, but is well thought out and functional.

Great bag

Review: The bag is perfect. The shoulder strap is worthless. My strap attachment hardware broke the first day of use. All other aspects of this bag are near perfect. Great organization system for charts.

Great flight bag!

Pros: Sturdy, well-designed, good value for the price
Cons: The two flat pockets and two end pockets look identical from the outside, so sometimes you have to hunt for the right one. (Yeah, this is a minor point, but that's my only complaint about this great bag.)
Review: The folks who designed this bag are clearly pilots. There's a place for everything: maps, AA batteries, handheld radio, etc. It's well made and the price is reasonable for what you're getting. I'd strongly recommend it.

Pros: seems to be good quality & well designed for its purpose
Cons: not quite the same as the online picture
Review: I purchased this for my father, & was surprised to find that it did not look like the picture. This was mostly because the decorative logo was not on the bag as in the picture. I was also disappointed that no product information was included with the bag explaining the intended uses of its many compartments. At least it was easy enough to order & came in on time.

Review: As a new pilot, I was looking for a flight bag that would hold all of the neccesary items. The bag exceeded my expectations! Lots of room for 2 headsets, flashlights, pens, pencils, battreies, flight computer, and all of my books and charts! My instuctor really liked it too, he said he will definately reccomend this bag to his students, and will buy one when his current one wears out.

Pros: Can hold everthing I can think of that I might need in the air.
Cons: It gets real heavy.
