Works well, simple to install and use

  • By Gordon from Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday, November 01, 2018
  • Pros: Good value, small, easy to install
  • Review: I needed a GPS receiver for a WiFi only iPad Pro mounted on the instrument panel.
Some people note the fragility of the Bad Elf connector, however in my installation this is not an issue since the Bad Elf is permanently installed under the glare shield with a USB charging cable input and a Lightning extension cable output to the iPad.
Altitudes are not quite as accurate as the Bad Elf software claims, but are fine for flying unless you plan doing GPS approaches in IFR :-)

  • By Anthony from San Tan Valley AZ USA on Wednesday, November 08, 2017
  • Pros: easy to use / smaall in size
  • Review: It hooked up to satelites very quicky in the middle of forrest and found my locations quickly.

design not thought through

  • By Allen from Piedmont SD USA on Friday, June 24, 2016
  • Pros: does what it says
  • Review: It plugs into the lightning port, but it uses a different connector for pass through power. Now I have one more cord to carry. If they would have used the lightning connector on both sides it would have to been perfect.

Easy Setup, Reliable, Accurate

  • By A Customer from Rockledge FL USA on Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Would not buy this again. Prefer Bluetooth

  • By Thomas Traylor from Lincoln NE USA on Friday, March 27, 2015
  • Pros: Size
  • Review: I do like the size of this gps. I have only used this gps total of 3 flight and the cover piece came off. So I snapped it back on just for it to come off again hour later. Very annoying while flying. Also one minute I will have a symbol displaying on my foreflight app, and 30-45 mins later I won't. Not sure if I just inherited a lemon or what.

  • By Edgar from Queretaro Queretaro Mexico on Tuesday, January 20, 2015
  • Pros: You can use it with your iphone or ipad
  • Review: Very good and the support from Bad Elf its excellent
