My favorite of all shirt designs

Pros: The open pockets (fake flaps) make this easy to use
Cons: I have had a few collars "bubble up" and need extra ironing
Review: The quality of construction, wrinkle resistance, and pocket features make this shirt my favorite. I can usually wash and wear without ironing, especially if shirts are removed from dryer before it shut off.

Shirt Irregular

Cons: Poor quality on one shirt.
Review: 4 out of the 5 shirts were good. On one of the shirts the left arm is smaller than any of the others. It is tight on my arm and can't wear it. I need to return it, but have been too busy to get around to it.

Review: This is a great shirt that I have used for many years. The cotton polyester blend is comfortable and resists wrinkling. The open-top pocket design is perfect for quick access to your sunglasses or your flight schedule. The construction is top notch.

Review: Good styling, polyester content is too high, either all-cotton or 80/20 would be a big improvement. Polyester makes shirts too warm in summer.

Quality Shirt

Review: Loved the shirt and loved the MyPilotStore service. The only issue I have with this shirt is the inconsistant color! Some shirts are cream/beige color and some are a nice white. Kinda wierd but you really can't tell the difference unless they are next to each other.

Review: The shirts are more than what I had expected. I really like the cheater front pockets with the opening at the top without having to unbutton the shirt pocket to get into the pocket. It sure makes it easy to remove and replace my pocket calculator with out having to unutton my shirt pocket and yet with the button on the outside still looks professional.

Improved? Product

Review: I recently purchased two Commander pilot shirts. I've had a positive experience with Van Heusen pilot shirts in the past, so I had no reason to be concerned with this purchase. However, as I unwrapped them, I noticed they did not appear as white as older Van Heusens in my closet. Then, when I washed them, I noticed the water beading up on the shirt and when I ironed them the spray starch did the same.

I contacted Van Heusen and they confirmed that the shirts are now treated with a stain repellant and offered to replace them. Since all the shirts have the same treatment, replacement would not solve the problem. I'm just gong to wash the heck out of them and hope the treatment fades with time and I can get them white.

Great Shirts

Review: I would buy these shirts again. They are very comfortable after a couple of washes. At first, they do rub your neck raw a little, but otherwise, they are great shirts. They hold starch well and stay wrinkle free longer throughout the day than other aviator shirts.

Review: I used to buying the polyester/cotton mixed shirt, and the problem for the tetron fabric turns their color yellow after several wash.
