I mainly depend on the Headset Keeper to protect the plug ends from damage suseptable to damage inside or outside the aircraft. If a little snug, a slight twisting motion aids in removing the plug ends from the protective cover.

Small price to pay to protect your expensive headsets

Do you need this on your every day headset? Maybe, maybe not, but it can't hurt. Protects the plug tips and helps organize the cables.
Do you need it for any spare headsets? Yes!
You may not notice but when you don't use your headset for a while, the plugs start to tarnish. This can get to a point where performance is impacted. For example, my wife only comes with me if we are going somewhere for an extended period of time. I have a Headset Keeper on hers.

- Cons: doesn't stay on the wire when in use during flight
- Review: SO I have this on my headset wires, and while I am storing in my bag, it works just fine, the connection is tight and doesn't just slip off. Why a 3 star. Well when I am in use of the headset, the keeper manages to undo itself and I have to look for it on the floor, under the seat after I complete a flight.
