  • Review: The Adapter seems to be good quality how ever it will not allow you to transmit via key button on the radio, I guess you must buy the PTT which should be disclosed with the description. My normal PTT from the air craft will not fit the connecter.

Icom IC-A20 Headset Adapter

  • By chris from venice CA USA on Tuesday, November 30, 2010
  • Pros: Work fine with David Clarks, Sigtronics and Softcom...
  • Cons: The TX light stays lit and normal headset useage is not possible with the radio/adapter /ANR headset use
  • Review: This adapter only works with the IC-A20 radio if you have analog non-ANR headsets. Lightspeed 20XL's and the like do not work with this headset adapter/radio combination. I called the factory and pilot store. They did not que me to this problem nor offer any solutons. They insisted the adapter worked as advertised. Experimenting with different headsets led me to the reason I was not having success with the ANR sets and that only analog heasets will work.
