Pros: Simple design, reasonable price
Cons:
Review:
Worked great in the sandy soil at Sun 'N' Fun-- it only took me a few minutes to tie down. The plane remained secure during a severe thunderstorm.

Pros: Compact, lightweight, short term tiedown.
Cons: Would not recommend for very heavy aircraft or long term
Review:
Worked great for the week I spent at AirAdventure 2007. Compact and simple to use. Easy to stow in the aircraft for the trip to and from KOSH.

Buyer Beware

Pros: The tote bag. The precut lengths of the tie-downs.
Cons: Screws are weak. Rope is plastic.
Review:
If the ground is hard, you need a crowbar (not included) to turn the screw. On my first use, the eye hole of one screw snapped off leaving the screw part imbedded in the ground. Couldn't get any into the ground securely. The rope is nylon and slick making the knotting of the rope difficult. The good news is the bag is good that the pieces come in and the nylon rope is pre-cut in 3 segments. I am glad no storms came during those days. The lineman said...get your money back and next time, use THE CLAW. Next time, I will.

Get some good ones

Pros: Easy to use, remove
Cons: TOO damned easy to pull out and remove
Review:
These are well-known in the aircraft industry as junk. They just aren't strong enough to withstand any serious wind. I've seen a few airplanes pulled up in storms at air shows, and most of them were tied down with these. The metal pieces either break, or just bend, and the ropes come off. They're great for tying out your little dog (that's what they really are for), but not an airplane capable of producing thousands of pounds of lift. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Or at least, don't park next to my airplane with these.

Pros: Good ropes
Cons: Weak metal ground fasteners.
Review:
First time ever using this kit, we twisted one of the metal skewers half in two with bare hands. The ground was firm, but the end points could have been sharper and the metal stronger.
