Best Bang for the Buck!

- Pros: Very thorough manuals and study guides. Great illustrations and study materials. Every question on my written test was in my study book in some form.
- Cons: Honestly, there are none as far as I am concerned.
- Review: I used the Jeppesen kit to obtain my private pilot certificate. The materials are clearly written and they include illustrations as well as expanded explanations for the difficult topics. This is the only set of manuals my flight school provides to their students. I could not be happier with the education I have received with these books! I am confident my training will continue to be a success thanks to the Jeppesen GFD Series Books and Manuals!

- Review: I'm very impressed with the entire Instrument/Commercial kit. It is complete with workbooks and other misc items, including a carrying case. The text is hard bound and contains excellent examples, FAA notes and also gives a complete task breakdown of procedures (turn by turn). Thanks to my CFII for recommending buying this kit from mypilotstore.com ; the service was exceptional, as was the value.

Can't go wrong with Jeppesen

- Review: I used Jeppesen for my private. I did book self study for the written with supplimental information from my instructor. I have started the Instrument phase and this book does not disappoint

Photo a little misleading but good kit.

- Cons: Would have liked to had some sort of CD or DVD with the kit.
- Review: The photo on the web site clearly shows JepShades with the kit. However, my kit did not have them and if you look at the list of what it includes, they are not listed. Not a big deal but it should be pointed out. If you don't already have a hood or set of foggles, you will need to purchase them separately. Other than that, all the materials are of good quality. The illustrations in the books are done very well too.

- Cons: Wordy, almost too much material, IFR reading not definitively separate from commercial rating reading
- Review: A lot of money for what you get but the books holds true to Jepsons style of providing good pictures to explain material mixing historical data, applied situations, and critical thinking problems into explanations of all the subject matter. This makes for a bit longer read compared to some other IFR training books. I'm using these books as a supplement to my instructors suggested readings rather then the primary reading but these books may become handy if I choose to pursue a commercial rating. IFR training materials can be acquired much more economically if an instructor lays out a well planned training program using FAA weather curriculum guides, IFR training guides, and study guides that may be purchased as separate books for nearly a quarter of the price of this kit. Also, the kit did NOT include a view limiting device as advertised when I purchased these books.

- Review: Is a good package, if the package brings every thing they show in the promotion..i think they must change this promtion cause in the pic they show you that the instrument googles are include and its aint come in the pack ...so thats is the only problem i found...
