Best instructional book out there

  • By Al from Paradise, Kansas on Monday, September 6, 2021
  • Pros: exercises to help learn the material and great personal stories
  • Cons: none!
  • Review: Thought it would be just about mountain flying, but this book is comprehensive and relative to all flying. It gives techniques to improve pilot skills, including aircraft control and performance, and the stories in the chapters are great. I learned so much about weather, density altitude, and just how to be a better pilot! Every pilot should have this book!

The flying instruction book on the market today

  • By A Customer from Washington on Wednesday, October 11, 2023
  • Pros: Comprehensive, informative, with amazing photos, figures, and stories to back up the technical information.
  • Cons: NONE!
  • Review: This book is outstanding! Is comprehensive for all around general aviation flying, not just mountain flying. The authors and guest authors know what they are talking about. It has technical information and great personal stories from multiple people to back up the material. Tips and exercises to bring home the concepts, and much more. Read the entire thing over and over - the last story in the book is a game changer.
