“IMO”, Best Seaplane Book Written So Far

  • By Riccochet from Homer, Alaska on Thursday, February 17, 2022
  • Pros: Comprehensive & Full of Practical Knowledge based on Seasoned Experience, NOT Theory
  • Cons:
  • Review: Over the last 17 years, flying upwards of 10,000 hours in the Alaska bush on floats wheels and skis, I have read every seaplane book written and believe this is by far the best published on the subject. I found this book very useful & highly recommend.

Good info, includes helpful info about mountain flying and weather

  • By Paul from Duluth MN USA on Sunday, August 2, 2009
  • Pros: Concise
  • Cons:
  • Review: I read it before I took lessons. It works best if you read it after you try some float flying. When I reread it I saw profound insights I missed the first time.
