- Pros: Uses RAM mount system and keeps the GDL5x off of the glare shield and in a cooler environment.
- Cons: Spend another 8 pennies on plastic to get the base mount more robust.
- Review: Adapter functions as advertised and it uses the standard RAM mounting system which opens up many possibilities. 4 stars due to the GDL50 base-mount adapter being a less robust than I would like. I might get a 2nd base mount in case this one bites the dust. A case or some sort of protective covering for the base mount would have been nice as well as a bit more plastic/ ribbing or something to beef up the basemount to get to 5 stars. The RAM mount portion is bullet proof as expected.
