  • Review: Very realistic flying experience, however many buildings are missing. The yolk, throttle, and rudders are easy to set up and use. The 11 disc XPlane11 software will take you about 2 hours to download completely, but it includes all maps and scenery. Hours of fun!

Great Practice

  • Pros: easy to use, look and feel very close to real airplane.
  • Cons: sometimes the usb connectors have to be reset to get controls to recognize.
  • Review: I was scared this product would not meet expectations. After a few times working with it. I was able to set up the control and software very similar to the training I was doing on the 172. Im limited on my availability on training so this product was able to fill in the gaps so far practicing my pattern work and landings. Because of this bundle I was able to solo recently. I would recommend this bundle.

  • Pros: Has good selection of beginner aircraft to chose from. Tutorials are very helpful to get started.
  • Cons: Even with a good landing, the flight never ends.
  • Review: Loaded all of the disc for X-Plane 11 with no problems. Not running a super gammer's computer. Needed to reduce some graphics to meet the speed requirements for excellent flying with no jitters. Needed to read manual from X-Plane to learn how to install on three monitors to get things to look right. Tutorials are a great help and with the manual, information is well documented. Works well with Logitech equipment. Actions with yoke and rudder petals are smooth.

  • Pros: Cons: The kit performs very well during cruise, especially the yoke. Enough buttons to assist me during the closed traffic pattern pwr mgmt, flaps manipulation, and elev trim.

    For the price, the kit does its job as expected. It's much easier to fly a full size 172 Skyhawk than to that of the simulator controlled by the Saitek's.

  • Cons: Pitch control on yoke is "sticky", difficult to be precise.
  • Review: Sim is working fine and I really like that I can still get in some practice when weather won't allow real flying. I even found the actual plane I am training in and downloaded it. Very realistic. My only complaint is with the yoke. The pitch axis is very hard to actuate smoothly for precise flying. There is lots of discussion on various forums on how to modify it to improve the feel and I will try it one of these days.

Unable to use software

  • Review: I find that the Yoke does not hold the Calibration and if you let go of the yoke the Plane will turn and crash. I think the yoke and throttle is cheap.
