Great LIght for Flight by Frederick from Smithfield UT USA
Pros: Meets my needs very well Cons: None for my needs Review: I am Civil Air Patrol flight crew member. We normally fly C-182s day and night. This LED meets those needs very well. It is large enough to find in the dark, has good "night" colors, and is easy to operate. It is also tough enough to take some punishment. It may not be perfect for every need, but, for small general aviation aircraft - this one is right on the mark.

Smith and Wesson Flashlight by Robert P. Brokaw, Jr. from TUCSON AZ USA
Pros: Just the right white light for the cockpit. Not too bright. Cons: Could use a ring to attach a cord. Review: This flashlight is absolute perfection for a pilot. It is not too large and not too small. I love it !
The fact that is uses normal AAA size batteries is a big plus as you can easily obtain them anywhere and have them in the airplane if you need extra batteries. I have a Surefire Aviator 2 which I really love but it gets its extreme brightness from using SF123A 3 volt batteries which will go out instantly when reaching a certain point of low voltage. That's not all bad as the red light will still work for some time afterwards but the AAA's do give a warning. Cost of the Smith and Wesson is much less so you can afford several for backup if you are like me and have to have the Surefire.
