Pros: The book brings useful and contoversial information to the light of day. It takes a stance on operational methods that are often debated. No flim flam, just here it is, like it or lump it.
Cons: I would have liked to heard more about IO 540's just because they seem to be everywhere.
Review: A very logical synopsis of the internal combustion engine as seen through the eyes of a person that has taken the time to do his homework and pay attention.

I'll never fly the same again

Pros: Made me a safer pilot
Cons: I didn't read it earlier.
Review: Read this, It will change how you preflight, fly and postflight. I read it twice in a row and carried it around for three weeks showing CFI's and AP's thing's I'd learned and quizzing them. I learned, three ways other than the CHT to adjust Mixture, What is the main cooling/heating control in the plane, and when should you lean prior to takeoff other than at high altitude. Definitely a must read before your commercial rating. Also, notably, it's actually fun and interesting to read, really an engaging book.

Fly The Engine

Pros: Explains what you need to know to be a better pilot...
Cons: Haven't found anything about it that I didn't like...
Review: Excellent book about engines!!! The same principles can be used in learning more about auto racing engines... Most books like this put me to sleep.. This one has the information that I want to learn and puts it in a manner that keeps my interest, therefore keeping me awake.
