Fisher Multi-Action Retractable Fisher Space Pen

How many times have you reached into your flight bag or kneeboard during a flight only to find the ink has dried or the pen no longer working? This happens even more frequently the higher altitudes that you fly. The Fisher Space Pen is your solution to always having a working writing instrument during flight and on the ground.

Unlike ordinary ball pens which rely on gravity to feed ink, the replaceable Space Pen cartridge is pressurized. At nearly 35 pounds per square inch, ink is continuously fed to the tungsten carbide ball, allowing the user to write at any angle, even upside down. This advanced technology required Fisher Space Pen Co to develop a new and special ink.

And they did. The new visco-elastic, thixotropic ink, with a consistency similar to that of very thick rubber cement, flows as a result of the shearing action of the rolling ball in its socket. This shearing action liquefies the solid gel thixotropic ink, allowing the pen to write smoothly and dependably on the most surfaces and even underwater.

Evaporation, wasted ink and back leakage are eliminated. The estimated shelf-life of these pens is over 100 years.

Great Pen, I bought a second one

Pros: All in one, pen, pencil, stylus, great quality, solid feel
Cons: Realy none, outside styling - didn't like the cushion, too fat; but not a big deal, it actually feels good.
Review: It has everything I need all-in-one Pen. Pen quality is great, space pen works anywhere, anyway. Pencil is solid and uses larger leads It has two pen colors, a pencil, and a PC stylus all in one pen.

Performs for the professional

Review: I have had my Fisher Q-4 now for 14 months and love it. I wanted a pen that had the multi-function of a stylus since we have touch screen computers in my office. My office being the AirBus 320 cockpit. The pen has never let me down. The mechanisms are smooth and easy to use and the pen writes without skipping...ever. I like the stylus function as well was the pencil and colored ink and it is very easy to use. This pen has never let me down and flies with me on all of my trips. Highly recommended.

Pros: Made in USA, mechanism working good, reliable writing performance.
Review: Purchased for my High School Air Force JROTC cadet who insists on cool tactical-type stuff. He likes the pen color options, and says the grip is nice. Mechanism has worked perfectly so far (2 months). And....I'm very happy that this pen is MADE IN THE USA!

Great "Fisher Quality" Pen

Pros: Full size, nice weight and feel, warranty
Cons: Metal barrel with scratch, pen selection may be awkard
Review: I own 3 Fisher space pens, and have been happy with all of them. I like the flexibility of the "multi-action" selection on this one, and it's my primary pen. This is a full-size pen, unlike some of the Fisher pens and has a great writing feel to it, although I prefer medium point (comes with fine point). I may be rough on pens, but the metal barrel will become scratched.
