Touch it once and FLITELite will beam bright where you want it. Touch it
again for lower intensity and once again to turn it off - or simply wait,
FLITELite will auto off in one minute. Its microprocessor uses software that
advances highly efficient LED systems to the next level. Developed by Momentum
Interactive with NASA STATOP and NAFI Master CFI assistance, the world class
FLITELite engineering team developed and integrated LiteTouch technology for
hands free operations and incorporated a LiteDetect sensor to shut itself off in
bright light, saving precious battery life so it is there when you need it most.
FLITELite is the first smart light that is custom fit to a flex boom headset.
FLITELite incorporates solid state, computer logic chip control, with a
program developed to deliver light when and where you need it. Other "mic
lights" utilize a mechanical on/off switch. When you strap in for your night
flight, your have a choice, dead batteries with the old lights since the switch
was bumped days before, or FLITELite - with its auto off feature that will time
out in one minute. With the mechanical switch version, you have to stabilize the
light with one hand to keep it from pushing away from your face when the switch
is activated. This isn't the case with FLITELite! Our switch is a revolutionary
LiteTouch design requires ZERO pressure to activate. This permits true hands
free operation of the light. On a dark night, we'd like you to have both hands
free to fly the aircraft.
Uses 2 AAA Batteries (included).

Not that great by Michael from Gig Harbor WA USA
Pros: Neat concept, hard to loose in a cockpit Cons: Chord too short, switch difficult to operate, battery pack difficult to mount Review: I thought this was going to be much better than it was. It is hard to operate. Many times I cant get it to turn on and once I do get it on, it has a shut off timer. I would prefer an old fashioned on/off switch. The lights are just about right for seeing in the cockpit. They are adjustable for brightness. The wire that leads to the battery pack is too short. I would like to fasten it to the top of my headset, but it only reaches the ear dome. The battery pack secures with velcro and becomes dislodged easily from the curvature of the ear domes. I have returned to my super low-tech $2.99 pen light.
