Made in China...

Review: I still have a Jeppensen E6B from early 80's made of aluminum and other good quality materials (MADE IN USA) But this on is disappointing, poor materials and construction Being made in China the productions costs will drop a lot but please try to keep some "old good quality" that we see on other Jeppesen products.

Poor quality and basically unusable

Cons: Poor construction, wheels drag, wind card slips. You need two hands to work this and it's still difficult.
Review: I received the Jeppesen E6B as a gift. I already owned a ASA product and have really come to love that unit.

The Jeppesen unit seems flimsy and, as others have pointed out, feels cheap and wheel drags. You really need two hands to operate this. I was so disappointed that I exchanged this for a replacement, but the replacement had exactly the same failings, suggesting that this is standard quality now for Jeppesen.

Avoid disappointment and buy an ASA or APR flight computer!

disappointed!!

Review: I'm not happy about the product.The slide part of the computer is incorrectly print and when i need to calculate the wind it give me an error of about 5 knots.I have another e6b computer and it work better than the jeppesem one.
I should give back the product but i live in Italy and is gonna cost me more shipping back to U.S than buy a new one.
I'm disappointed about jeppesen.At least the wheel works good.

I would not recomend this product

Review: I have a 30 yr old Jeppesen computer. I was disapointed in the quality of the product.The dial drags and is hard to adjust. The metal is much thinner than my old one. Jeppesen has a good name and I was very disapointed in the quality.

Impressive quality

Review: Excellent quality, durable, worth all the money. Very easy to use and better than ASA. My friend owns one from ASA its computer scale is hard to rotate but it's easy over here, has both high and low speed sides for W/C calculation which ASA don't have. I wold recommend this product to everyone.

Great Product

Cons: Edges of the metal could be smoother

I would buy it again

Review: I bought it because my student (paper) e6b was wearing out after 6 years of use. I like this one over the ASA brand simply because of the contrasting black face. It's very similar to the paper version. The ASA e6b is one color. Just preference I guess.

Simplicity and ease of use

Useful computer for different uses(nautical proposals.) in my case.

Nice computer

Pros: heavy duty and rugged feel to it. great instruction manual that gives examples if new to using flight computers
Cons: none that I could find.
Review: This is a great flight computer.  Rugged feel and works like a charm.  Just make sure you use a pencil on the wind part of the computer.  Pens and markers do not rub off easily.

Very well made and easy to use backup navaid!

Review: The Jeppesen "E6B" is a beauty! Much of its appeal is nostalgic, of course. There's no sustitute for modern avionics. But it's truly amazing how many useful functions this E6B can perform. Construction quality is outstanding; and the "Slide Graphic Computer Manual" is excellent. I love it!

Exactly what I needed

Pros: Easy to use, very well laid out.
Cons: Not being a real pilot, a bit more depth in the instructions.
Review: This was purchased for use with microsoft flight simulator. I needed something to get recripical courses. I was really looking for a compass rose, but I would not trade this for anything! There are a few calculations I will not need, but it does what I need. Also this is a very well made calculator, the last one I will ever need to buy. Very happy with my purchase!
