by Danny from Mulvane KS USA
Pros: Good over-all review Cons: needs some paper backup aids to illistrate where and how to find the proper frequencies. A lot of approach frequencies are dependant on altitude and direction. Review: This is a good overall review session but I would not use it as a first time learning tool unless it was suplimented by a more detailed book.It does not touch on air to air freqency or guide lines or how to get on the air when there does not seem to be a break in the frequency. Overall though for just an audio aid it does the job.

Pros: Very helpful in learning communication terms. Cons: None yet. Review: I haven't used "Squawk" very much, but when I have played it, it is a very helpful in the "what to say" and "how to say" of flight communications.

A must for ALL student pilots! by Ash Dubey from Chandler, AZ
Pros: Well organized, practical and comprehensive Cons: None Review: Like many student pilots, I suffered from mike fright. I tried many books did not find them to be as effective as this. Content are well organized for the situations i.e. class of airports, towered or untowered airports etc. This CD contains real pilot-ATC communication snippets. I liked the section on flight following and lost procedures. I played this CD in my car for a few times and I found HUGE difference in my radio confidence. Most certainly worth the money! A must for student pilots!

Excellent Review by Mike Perkins from Havana IL USA
Review: If you haven't spent much time lately using ATC, this is an excellent review as a confidence-booster along with some tips worth remembering. Don't expect to hear the AIM and the FARs repeated to you - this isn't a review of all the cumulated rules. It's ust down-home practical advice from an experienced flight instructor about communicating in ALL the different airspace classes.

Great product for the money. by Wayne from Douglasville ga USA
Pros: Very informative and not boring. Cons: None Review: This product met my expectations of a no nonsense approach to VFR communication. Very informative and easy to understand. After listening to the cd, I better understood the how and why of aircraft communication. The training cd took a lot of the mystery out of radio work. I really liked the fact that actual recordings of real radio transmissions were used.

Nice introduction to VFR communications by Larry Tarr from Pennsylvania
Pros: The price is right, does a better job than some of the more expensive products. Cons: Would have liked more material on Class B communications. Review: This CD is an excellent primer for pilots with little or no experience communicating over the radio, particularly in tower-controlled environments. Other pilots might benefit from using it to brush up their skills. The material is arranged in logical sequence, starting with non-towered communications and progressing all the way through Class B. Explanations of procedures are clearly explained for all classes of airports, and sample recordings of live communications are dissected and well-explained. A must-have for every student pilot.

Excellent CD for new pilots by A Customer from Dallas, TX
Pros: Excellent for new pilots Cons: It was so good, I wished it was longer. Does not elaborate much. Review: I am a new pilot, getting used to Class D and regional approach controllers. I found this CD to be excellent in preparing me and, most importantly, giving me more confidence that it is not so difficult or complicated. Highly recommend.
