1930's Art Deco Flight Clock

An exact reproduction of a 1930's Art Deco Flight Clock.  Hand crafted in airplane aluminum and hand polished.  Nostalgic and chic.

The original WWII and 1950 Travel Souvenirs were also cast in airplane aluminum and created as displays for travel agencies, or gifts to VIP travelers. Some were made by WWII mechanics in their spare time. Memories of a time when flight was still a very hands-on affair. Highly collectable now, originals from the forties and fifties are hard to find. Screaming Spitfires from the Battle of Britain, stately four-engine Constellations, last Hurrahs for the propeller driven aircraft.

L. 13.98 in. / 35.51 cm.
W. 2.76 in. / 7.01 cm.
H. 4.13 in. / 10.49 cm.

by Shannon from Shawnee OK USA

Pros: The plane is beautiful. It is made of metal. l found no flaws. Quality product.
Cons: I was a little disappointed in the quality of the clock. Plastic and swivels out of place in the place.

Solid and decorative
by A Customer from Coral Gables FL USA

Review: Bought this plane clock as a present for a friend and he seemed very happy with it. All in all, it is a good quality clock, it's heavy and feels good to the touch. It is much larger than I expected though. When one removes the clock to replace the battery, the interior is not attractive and one sees that that's where they cut corners. Not a huge problem.

Pros: Good quality, heavy metal

Review: This 1930's Art Deco Flight Clock was larger than I expected it to be. It's good quality metal is a fingerprint magnet and it is quite heavy. Its was a great piece for the pilot and looks nice on a wooden desk :)

Lovely piece!
by Lori from Bonita CA USA

Pros: very stylish, looks great on a desk
Cons: clock was a little cheap, and the propellers a little flimsy
Review: I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend after seeing it at the Air & Space Museum in DC. I was very happy with the price I found at mypilotstore.com, so I bought it. The design of the plane is very unique and my boyfriend loved it. The only con is the time piece inside seems a little cheap.

by K2 from Hurley, NY
Pros: More than what I expected weight-wise and structurally
Cons: Would like the dial to glow or illuminate
Review: This flight clock was actually bigger and better than its picture revealed on the website. I love it. It sits on the end of my counter more as a sculpture than a clock, so it meets two purposes in one. If I could change anything at all about it, it would be that the dial would glow blue (or red) to simulate the instrument panel of the interior of the cockpit (or just because it would look super cool with a lighted dial). I'd definately buy this again, no questions about it. any aviation-lover would like it for their own.

Ask Your Own Question
On Sunday, November 18, 2012 a customer asked:
Q:
Does this have an alarm clock?
A: Yes, this does have an alarm function. There is a switch on the top that will pop off the face which will allow you to access the alarm programming.

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011 a customer asked:
Q:
Is the face backlit? I want to place it on a shelf under my TV, will I be able to read it in a dimly lit room? How big is the clock face?
A: The face is 2 inches in diameter but is not backlit and would most likely be difficult to read in very low light.
