The base mount is designed to be screwed to a panel using a standard instrument mounting holes. The iPad snaps in and is held securely.

- Review: This product was not what I expected. I have several RAM mounts and this was not close to the same quality. The plastic is very, very thin and the mount has cheap plastic inserts for the IPAD2 or IPAD3. Would not buy another product from AirGizmo. I did not use. Should have stayed with the RAM Mount.
