I bought the logbook for my 8 year old daughter. It would be nice to see if she can become interested in logging our pleasure flights (I'm still a CFI) right from the start. Even if there is no official CFI riding along who says it would not be a good way to log or create unique diary entries for passenger flights for an aspiring young pilot?
The quotes on the bottom of each page from various lady pilots are a great idea but one of the quotes (from Pancho Barnes) is a bit "mature" for my young daughter (IMHO) so I'll just cover that one in a unique sticker of some sort before giving her the logbook.
Deduct one star (begrudgingly) for not using a more significant quote of many available from Pancho Barnes, a very important lady pilot in our history. Not a big deal, in fact many may prefer it as it's certainly her style - but I guess I'm looking through the eyes of a dad looking after his 8 year old little lady captain. That's easily dealt with, and my overall impression is very positive for this unique logbook!!
