AC260 PNR Headset / White Knight Jr.

Featuring AVCOMM's exclusive patented PNR™ (passive noise reduction) technology and a built-in iPod/MP3 port, the AC260 PNR is a comfortable colorful headset for kids or adults who need a smaller headset.

Key Features:

  • Built-in iPod/MP3 port
  • AVCOMM exclusive patented PNR™ audio technology
  • Perfect for kids or those who need a smaller headset
  • Simple and affordable design
  • Larger volume control knob — easy for a child to use
  • Ultra-lite Neodymium speakers
  • Lighter weight for added comfort
  • Higher noise attenuation
  • Acoustic mic muff included
  • Full five-year factory warranty

The AC260 PNR features a unique head band and wire boom made exclusively for children or adults with head sizes 21" or less. Adjust it small enough for a young child or expand it easily to fit smaller adults, or even add an optional full-size head band and ear seals for a full-size headset.

AVCOMM's specially designed ear seals for the AC260 PNR fit closely to a child's ear, since larger ear seals would fall below the jaw line and greatly reduce noise attenuation.

Inside, the latest PNR™ technology is put into action with ultra-lite Neodymium speakers. Your child may not notice, but you'll appreciate the richer, smoother frequency response. The powerful magnetic core and diaphragm provide higher sensitivity and optimized response. The speaker is a thin-lightweight 4/10th's of an ounce, reducing headset weight for added comfort. The advanced speaker installation technique enhances audio performance, reduces annoying inner ear cup vibrations and increases noise attenuation.

Built for rugged use, the AC260 PNR features a larger volume control that is very easy for a child to use, stainless steel construction, simple operation, an acoustic mic muff to protect against moisture and wind noise, gold plated mic and headphone plugs, high impact ABS ear cups, durable copper wire with spiral shielding to eliminate RF interference and a polyurethane cover for added abrasion resistance and flexibility, plus a full five-year factory warranty.

Keep Kids' Minds on the Ride, Not an Ill-fitting Adult Headset

  • By ERIC from Lonoke AR USA on Tuesday, October 06, 2020
  • Pros: Good, sturdy quality. Decent audio for a PNR headset. Competitive price.
  • Review: I bought this headset after watching videos taken inflight of children pitifully struggling with adult-size headsets instead of enjoying the ride. Haven't had occasion to use it in flight yet, so I can't say it's totally "kid-approved," but I don't see any reason why it won't be. The audio quality isn't as good as an ANR headset, of course, but still pretty good for the price. It's well-built, and easy to work with, except for one annoying thing: The headband size adjustment fiber-lock nuts require a wrench (a 9/32's from a carburetor wrench set will work). If you buy this headset, though, I suggest that do what I did and replace those nuts with stainless steel wing nuts or knurled thumb nuts (if you can find them). They're metric, so look for size M4. Your local ACE or True Value should have them. The product would be improved if it came with finger-tightening nuts already installed instead of making the owner go hunt for them. That, and the fact that I haven't really evaluated it in flight yet, is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Great headset for my grandson.

  • By Glenn from Madera CA USA on Friday, July 31, 2020
  • Pros: Good fit,
  • Review: I bought two headsets so my grandson and granddaughter would each have their own. They are both 8 years old and just started flying with me. The headsets fit very well and they wore them with no complaints. An excellent buy if you fly with smaller children.

My 4-year-old grandson loves them.

  • By George Martin from Madison WI USA on Friday, August 09, 2019
  • Pros: They fit well on my 4-year-old grandson. He was happy with the level of noise reduction.
  • Review: I was concerned they might not fit my 4-year-old grandson, but they fit him just fine. He wore them on his first flight in an airplane (a Cessna 172) and just loves them. He is very noise sensitive, but the passive noise reduction worked just fine. He had no complaints about loud noise.

Good Product

  • By Allen from San Ramon CA USA on Thursday, May 29, 2008
  • Pros: Seems well made, sound quality excellent, noise attenuation adequate
  • Review: Got the headset for the kids for when they fly along; it performed as expected/hoped. Communication was clear & the kids did not think the cockpit was 'noisy'. Daughter's only complaint was that she sweat around her ears (it was an afternoon flight in 90+ degree weather). May be 5 stars, but have nothing to compare it with.
