- Review: Works fine to run audio from an I-Pad/I-phone into the headset audio jack for the first observer seat on a B-777. With that seat in hot-mic and speakers selected, the audio is played through the overhead speakers for all to enjoy. Although this cord would be easy to make if you had the parts, it is a bit difficult to find the aviation sized audio jack, and the quality of the connections is probably better than I could do with a soldering iron.

I emailed this message to technical support service on Jan 10. Did not get a response!
"When I try to use this with my apollo sl30 it transmits. Any suggestions?"
After waiting a week and not getting a response I experimented with the adapter and found that moving the red wire to the black connection and leaving the black off worked!
Considering the cost of this simple adapter I expected some type of response. Even an "I don't have a clue" would have been okay.

Q: Hi, ouldyou confirm that this lead has a 3.5mm Stereo plug on th I-pod end, and that the other end Plugs into a "MIC" socket, not a headphone socket... i.e. the smaller of the two sockets.... meaning that the Intercom amplfies the music to all connected headsets?
A: Yes, this does have a male 3.5mm jack and a male microphone jack.

Q: I have a Piper Warrior with a 4 place intercom (two Flight Comm headsets and two David Clark headsets) and a Garmin 396 with XM radio. I want to be able to plug my Garmin 396 into the intercom so that all four places can hear the XM radio...will this cord do this for me?? If so, how? Thanks!!
