Works well in a small cockpit while wearing a parachute

  • By Dave F. from So Cal on Friday, November 24, 2023
  • Pros: Comfortable, can be worn with parachute
  • Review: I bought these for my Extra 300L, which requires the wear of parachutes. These work well with my Softie aerobatic harness parachutes... the inflatable portion is outside the parachute harness, so they shouldn't suffocate you if they were to inadvertently inflate while wearing the parachute. Disadvantage is they might make the parachute ripcord harder to find. .

  • Cons: Might have to reach under the the PFD to reach the parachute rip cord. Needs online version of the manual

  • Previously Asked Questions

  • Friday, January 05, 2024

Q: Part 91 requires vests to have a survivor locator light. Does this vest have a light or provisions for attaching a light?

A: There is an accessory strap on the inflatable bladder for attachment of optional Aquaspec light.

Q: Does it inflate automatically? or does it require pulling the handle? I'd like it to be manual.

A: This lifevest has a manual inflation system. When needed, you pull the cord and the CO2 cartridge will auto inflate the vest. When no longer needed, the CO2 cartridge will need to be replaced and the vest can be rolled up and tucked back into it shell for the next use.
