- Pros: Easy to configure - save bucks on chart subscriptions for the average Private Pilot
- Cons: May take a couple of tries the first time if a Jep programmer had been used for 14 years. LOL
- Review: Previous owner used the Jep programmer for the G 430W. The databases from Garmin are a much better deal for my flying. Before ordering I did call Garmin Support and was assured switching to the Garmin Programmer wasn't going to screw up my data cards. Had to load the data twice on the first round of updates but after that - "took" first time. First use in the Garmin itself - thought there was going to be a problem reading the card. Turned off unit, reinserted the card, and on second try .. success. No problems since. So, if you have a problem initially, do try again. Happy I got this unit - saving big dollars on chart subscriptions.

- Review: Installed the software and updated NAV, Terrain and Obstacle data bases within 5 minutes of plugging this device in. MAC OS is NOT a problem! Works flawlessly with MAC OS!
