This cable does exactly what was promised. It let's me use an aviation headset with my KX-99.

The cable I received is not identical to the picture in that the part that plugs into the KX-99 is not a single plastic block contained the two male connectors. Instead, it's two separate cable ends. In my opinion, this is actually much better because it gives flexibility potentially allowing it to work with other devices.
There's a short wire with a small female connector wired into the mic connection. There were no instructions explaining what this was. I tried plugging my cell phone into it and it didn't work. - Review: Exactly what I was looking for to quickly be able to back up my installed nav/com. It's a bit expensive for such a simple product but I guess that's just the airplane world.
