I can't comment right now on the "Flight Instructor" test prep (1024) but, let me say I used the ASA "Certified Flight Instructor" test Prep back in 2005 & I passed my Advanced Ground Instructor for my certificate. I also used the ASA "Instrument Flight Instructor"(2005) to pass the "Instrument Ground Instructor" for my certificstion.
I needed a re-fresher course for Ground Instructor & since the ASA books worked great before I thought I'd use them again.

- Cons: Again, written by either lawyers or academics, and not real pilots....too wordy.

Good reference, but difficult to read, as with most of these "learning to" manuals
which all appear to be in the same format. All, including this one, appear to have
been written by either academics or lawyers who are not pilots. What we need
are manuals written by real pilots who can write and explain things in plain English
instead of all the legalese gobbletygook. The wording makes this and most other
flight manuals both difficult to read and very, very boring after about 10 minutes or
