Book no help for the Prepware Tests! Is the actual easier & more related?

  • By JEREMIAH from Burke VA USA on Wednesday, September 06, 2017
  • Pros: Good for important knowledge.
  • Cons: Relation to the prepware prep exam is scarily weak...and scary...
  • Review: It's pretty good, but based on my experience with the free prepware exams am I most definitely NOT confident. I hope the chap that did the Prepware test exams was a renegade--little relation to the way the questions are asked in the book. I hope there's little relation to the way the questions are asked in the actual exam!

Good self study overview for the written test

  • By Gene from Visalia CA USA on Tuesday, September 27, 2016
  • Pros: Good material. Quick shipping.
  • Cons: Errors
  • Review: Very good overview of the written test materials. Waiting for the updates to come out next month. Have found a few mistakes where references to obstruction elevations were off by 1 foot which had you trying to find the obstruction that you were looking for on the sectional to match the possible answers. Also, a reference to one of the figures pertaining to the question was incorrect. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to find the Shoshone airport on the referenced Figure only to find it on the un-referenced Figure on the opposite page. I would have given it 5 stars were it not for these issues.

To the point and I don't like it.

  • By A Customer from Columbia TN USA on Tuesday, April 10, 2012
  • Pros: Test oriented. Accurate questions.
  • Cons: May be over your head if your just starting to fly.
  • Review: I was expecting more of a text book when I got it. I am just starting to accumulate hours and I thought it would help me learn as I go. It however is made for someone who knows all the lingo already. I find myself googling a lot of terms and parts of questions that are not described in the book.

  • Review: This is good tutorial. I especially like the use of multiple questions for the same knowledge which helps me understand the concepts. I use it as a companion to the video because it is more complete.

Lives Up to Promo

  • By A Customer from Berkeley CA USA on Thursday, November 08, 2007
  • Pros: efficient, formatted the same as the written exam
  • Cons: not much background info, just the basics
  • Review: It's just what it says it is -- a simple, fairly thorough workbook for prepping for the private written exam. Provides a brief review of a topic, then a set of m/c questions, with answers. Also gives some (not a lot) explanation for why correct answers are correct and why wrong answers are wrong.
