Nice jacket but pockets too small.

  • Review: Heavy stiff leather which probably would have softened had I kept it. The jacket is as described on the product page and looks nice. Overall was a nice jacket except for what turned out to be a fatal flaw - the hand warming pockets are just too small and the stitching began to tear after only a couple of weeks. I play guitar and know my hands are average size, maybe even a bit smaller.

    The only other negative was that the lining is cloth and not satin so the coat tends to pull your long-sleeved clothing along with it when you put it on. Not a big deal though.

    I will say mypilotstore was great to work with in arranging the return and refund.

  • Cons: Different batches of leather in my jacket.Below standard knit cuffs.Light weight zipper.
  • Review: Different leather (leather is like new on one side of sleeve.The other side of sleeve very broken in) panels hemmed together.Knit cuffs light weight compared to to waist band.The zipper is light weight. I hope it holds up.

Great Jacket

  • Cons: Arrived badly creased. Pilling on cuffs and waistband.
  • Review: The jacket is as described and is well made. The leather isn't quite as buttery soft as I had expected though. It sort of squeaks when I bend my arms but I imagine it needs to be broken in. The only real negatives I can report is that the jacket arrived with a really nasty crease in the back that after weeks of wear is still there. I've tried steaming but it doesn't work. The other gripe I have is that after only a few weeks of light wear the knit cuffs and waistband are beginning to pill.

    I don't want to be all negative about this jacket though. For the price, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the Cockpit A-2.

Disappionted with color

  • Cons: The color is awful, almost black instead of brown.
  • Review: The jacket was well made and fit just fine. But, it was supposed to be brown. The jacket I got was a very dark shade of brown, if in fact, very nearly black. I am not happy with the color.

Nice looking jacket, but not functional

  • Review: This is a very nice looking jacket, with quality leather. I have had good comments from a lot of people. However, I found the pockets are too small. I can't put a small pair of leather gloves in the side pockets. The inside pen pockets are too deep. Put a pen in there and you will be using your leatherman to get it out.

    The last thing I did not like about this jacket, is it doesn't have a bit of insulation. But then again, since I can't carry a pair of gloves with it, I won't be using it for the winter.

nice jacket but

  • Review: Nice jacket but,the leather is thin,it almost look like burns on the leather little spots on front cuffs and bottom got frizzy the first time i wore it too expensive for what you get!
