- Pros: Written by a pro, and easy to understand by the student
- Cons: Navigation section needs to be updated
- Review: I have used Kershners earlier editions, and great for the basics. I was disappointed that it was not updated with information on GPS navigation and approaches. I think the ADF section could be eliminated (yes I know Alaska and Canada still use them) and be replaced with some information on glass cockpits and the ADS -B technology. This is still a great book for instructors to use.
