Most Things About X12 Are Positive . . . But

- Cons: Need to repurchase some plug-ins that were designed for X11 and are not compatible with X12.
- Review: Most notably, the graphics are better. I was disappointed to find that many third-party plugins, primarily aircraft, are version specific and not compatible with X12.

New features are worth the effort and price

- Pros: Better clouds by far and new aircraft models
- Cons: Difficult to get aircraft from ver 11 to run on 12 plus FMS modes that used to work, no longer do.
- Review: If you want the latest high end flight simulation look no further. Clouds are much better and the visual models are better than what I saw in ver 11. That said you will need more computational power to to keep the program running. Also early adopters may see missing functionality in some of the commercial jet models (FMS and autopilot modes come to mind)

X-plane 12- a replacement for MSFS?

- Pros: XP-12 has good potential for development in the near future.
- Cons: Neither XP 12 or MSFS 2020 is easily mated to sim hardware or real world training situations
- Review: X-plane 12 is , hands down, a better sim program for real world pilots than MSFS which has magnificent graphics but little role in flight simulation. My many years experience as an Aero-Space Education Officer leaves no doubt about this fact
