Pros: Good price
Cons: Would like a better clip/hook option
Review:
This is a very sensitive carbon monoxide detector, alerting to levels as low as 25ppm and up to >400ppm. It gives different beeps for different levels detected with sticker on the back of the unit to let you know what the level is. I had hooked the unit on my shoulder harness, had the canopy and vents open, and with starting the engine the monitor alerted me CO level of 25ppm briefly! There is also a bright small light on the front that will flash in synch with the beeps.

Cockpit Carbon Monoxide Detector
By John
from Ocala
on Saturday, August 21, 2021
Pros: Small, light weight with easy to see alarm light and easy to hear alarm sound.
Cons: Include velcro strips for mounting and label the on/off switch.
Review:
Small, light weight with great alarm. However, it would be nice if it came with a velcro strip for mounting in the event you did not want to use the visor clip.

A CO detector like this has been needed in GA
By Paul the Mooney Driver
from Canyon Lake TX USA
on Monday, May 20, 2019
Pros: Perfect sized, well constructed, clips on, easy to test, replaceable battery ... you name it. Seems fairly priced.
Cons: No issues here.
Review:
This is a great (small) sized CO detector that has a small readily available replaceable battery. You tuck it (it can clip on) where you can get to it/see it in the cockpit. It's in the pilot's side pocket. You turn it on and LEAVE it on -- then replace the battery (should last two years) at every Annual just to have plenty of battery time left. You can press-to-test it before flight easily (it's part of the pre-start mental checklist.) Of course, we expect that it detects well -- and have no reason to think otherwise. I've had the stick-on cardboard detectors that didn't convey confidence. I've had a super-expensive detector that they use in mines, that you could NOT replace the battery in (but the manufacturer didn't let you know that until you called about what kind of battery to insert.) This detector conveys dependability. It's well made.

Small- Clips to Bonanza Sunvisor
By Bonanza Bill

Pros: Small
Cons: Not sure how much is needed to trigger the alarm in layman terms.
Review:
I tested it near my vehicle exhaust and it went off immediately. Have not had any indications in the cock pit with or with out the heater. I keep forgetting to hold it near the open window while I taxi and check for an alarm. I do depress the test button each preflight. As a person that nearly died from CO in a C-150 with a cracked exhaust I would recommend having some kind of CO detector. Any kind!

It's a No-Brainer!!!
By A Customer
on Monday, January 30, 2023
Review:
Used it while conducting my Checkride prep with my instructor for my upcoming Checkride. Turned on my defrost because of foggy windshield until it cleared. As we were into my maneuvers the unit went off loud and light was flashing. Turned off the defrost and opened front vents and pilot side window to clear out carbon. My instructor was very impressed with the unit and we continued on with no issues. Had an amazing Checkride prep. Unit works SWIMMINGLY!! Will always have this unit with me in every aircraft that I fly in. Its a No-Brainer!! Not trying to become a NTSB accident report. I have a second unit from Honeywell home Carbon Monoxide detector as well. It showed 30ppm but never went off. This unit went off right away.

Very sensitive!

Pros: Loud and sensitive
Cons:
Review:
It was activated in the first 5 minutes of being airborne. Landed and Pulled into the Mx shop to evaluate cause. Sure enough, Mx found several holes hidden in the firewall, leftover from previous penetrations of old systems. I now pair this electronic method of CO detection, with the little dot placard that changes color. I figure the beeping alarm on one, will alert me to look at the other. Cheap insurance.

Best bang for the buck
By Parke
from Oakland CA USA

Pros: Great value, long life
Cons: Cannot adjust levels at which alarm triggers
Review:
Far less expensive than other options and lasts longer (most others need sensor replaced every two years). I can confirm that it works -- I had a leaky exhaust gasket and the alarm sounded and light blinked indicating somewhere between 25-100 ppm in the cockpit.
