Pros: Chock full of off-the-beaten track landing strips with local information.
Cons: Can't think of any
Review:
In 1973, as a low-time fixed wing single engine whiz kid, I flew, with unsuspecting friends, from COS to Tepic where we spent Christmas on a beach spoiled only by occasional horses. Except for this collection, the trip would have been a disaster in more ways than the obvious one. Enroute, we flew mostly tiny dirt strips where ground service consisted of barefooted kids toting 5-gallon jerry cans of questionable "Avgas" that I filtered through a piece of chamois. The kids, not lacking enthusiasm even if aviation ground skills weren't their forte, served as "guards" for our Cessna in our absence, and were ecstatic with the buck or two we doled out upon our departure. Aside from providing us excellent orientation maps, without this book our two-week trip wouldn't have been as "quaint" and enjoyable as it turned out to be. The 2008 update is a must-have for the vacationing tourist.

Pros: It is the best source of information for us little GA people.
Cons: Some of the information is dated however, nothing seems to change so....
Review:
Not only does the author provide the critical information i.e runway length, frequencies, etc, he also has personal notes about what he experienced when landing / visiting / etc.

Pros: Am recommending it to my friends
Cons: None
Review:
I bought this book because one of my friends who flys to Mexico highly recommended it to me. I am delighted with the information contained in it as well as it seems that because of the personal notes on many pages, the author has visited many of the airports and has first hand knowledge of what to expect
