I love my Garmin gdl50

  • Review: I can’t imagine flying without an ADS-B receiver. The first cross country flight I used my GDL50 on, I received an alert notifying me of a plane that was head on and about 300 feet higher. I did not see the other plane until it would have been too late, if it had been at the same altitude. I bought a Garmin product because I knew I could trust the quality.

  • Review: Great little device! Easy to use, works great! AHRS is pretty awesome - shows traffic on that screen as well in Foreflight. ADS-B in works well. All in all very satisfied - works as it should! My prior unit of different brand was finicky and one ADS-B band just stopped working one day.

  • Review: Got it today, but already tried it. Was a bit tricky to pair with android - I had to go in the connex menu in app and add it manually after connecting to bluetooth (iphone was easier - connected automatically) Nice thing, feels like it is more sensitive than sentury device. Will see how it will go further.
