Quality is not amazing, only works as PTT

This product disconnects mic unless you press PTT which makes it unusable for intercom (which is mentioned in another review -- I should have read it before buying!). Even when you are flying alone, you won't hear you voice in headset, which is what I am used to.
I re-wired it to make mic connection to bypass the button (so ring-to-ring connection is now permanent). While doing that, one wire broke off the jack connector without me applying any force.
