The Video Recorder Audio Adapter allows you to record all transmissions (local and remote) from the aircraft intercom system to your external GoPro HERO3 HD Digital Video Recorder. It's great for creating your own aerial videos without excess cabin noise. It will record all of the audio transmitted through the intercom system, including in-cabin audio and ATC transmissions.
This is a special adapter made exclusively for use with the GoPro HERO 3, 3+, and 4 Video Camera. Most digital records have a 3.5mm AUX In for recording, however with the GoPro Hero 3 / 4 they use a Mini USB port for recording. This adapter connects directly to the GoPro Hero 3/4 Mini USB port instead of a 3.5mm port.
Who should buy this adapter:
- Those that are ONLY using it with a GoPro HD HERO 3, 3+, or 4 (white, silver, or black edition) in an civilian airplane
- You have a 6-pin Redel plug panel powered headset (i.e. Bose X, Bose A20, or Lightspeed panel powered model).

This cord does exactly what it is supposed to. One male end plus into the LEMO plug in my glovebox in my Cirrus SR22 and then my BOSE headset plugs into another LEMO female plug on the new cord. There is a 3rd attached plug that fits exactly into the GoPro Hero 3 audio slot.
Audio from ATC is terrific while flying (the BOSE noise cancelling still works fine)and the audio on the GoPro recordings is great - clear for ATC transmissions and intercom in the cockpit.
One more note - I was originally sent the wrong cord. One quick phone call and My Pilot store fixed the problem an sent the correct cord to me that day. Great customer service.
