- Review: I purchased this boot as a holder for my IC-A24 handheld and used it to modify my Kenwood BC-11 for charging the IC-A24. The fit was almost perfect and my Kenwood charger now does a great job keeping the A24 charged. Rapid charge times are 3 hours at 600ma or 1.5 hours at 1100 ma. (switchable). The boot is a great buy.

Q: I thought this adapter base was complete and charge my Icon ic-a24. Do I need to purchase another item to achieve my end and if so what, and how much?
A: The Icom AD-101 Desktop Charger Adapter for IC-A6 / IC-A24 is just a adapter that goes into the charger base. Each adapter is unique to each transceiver. You will also need to get the Icom Rapid Desktop Charger BC-119N. Your adapter will fit into this charge base and allow you to charge your radio.

Q: Will the AD-101 allow the BP-210N to be charged in the BC-119N? Or do you need the BC-144N for the BP-210N, and do you still need the AD-101?
A: Yes, if you have the BC-119N and the BP-210N battery, then all you would need to complete the setup is this AD-101 cup.
