Designed for the professional pilot, the new Bose ProFlight Series 2 is the smallest and most comfortable aviation headset Bose has ever produced, with many new features designed specifically for airline and corporate aircraft flight decks.

New features include three user selectable levels of noise cancellation, a unique tap control for talk-through communication and quick release, side-swappable boom microphone and down cable. All engineered into a form factor unlike any other headset—a highly stable, in-ear configuration without the usual intrusive deep-insert eartips. The new Bose ProFlight Series 2 is FAA TSO and EASA E/TSO-C139a certified. Now there’s a Bose aviation headset that is right for you, whether you fly in a cockpit or on a flight deck.

What's new in Bose ProFlight Series 2?
Bose has made several improvements based on customer feedback. The most significant improvement is a thinner, lighter cable with much greater flexibility that provides improved comfort and stability, and reduces on-head weight by 0.4 ounces (11 grams). Tap control for talk-through communication has been improved. The microphone boom now includes winglets to assist in correct mic alignment and adjustment. Finally, the carry case has been improved to aid in faster stowage and transportation with the addition of a hanging loop and carabiner, and a more open internal design.

  • New 4.5 ounce (128 gram) on-head weight. For enhanced comfort during extended use.
  • New thin, flexible cable. Lighter, more supple cable allows improved freedom of movement and easy storage.
  • Updated and improved tap control for talk-through communication. Double tap either earbud to optimize audio for communication outside of the intercom.
  • New, non-Bluetooth headset variant now available.
  • Easily adjustable mic. New mic winglets allow for precise mic and boom adjustments. Noise cancelling microphone increases clarity and reduces background noise when transmitting. Engineered for aircraft with “hot mic” or PTT systems.

Great idea. Worst ear pieces ever on any headset.

  • By A Customer from Phoenix, AZ on Monday, August 02, 2021
  • Pros: Light weight. Small package
  • Review: Pros: Light weight barely there feeling. Packs smaller in flight bag.
Cons: A lot delicate then regular headsets. Ears pieces that are either too small or too large. Silicon ear buds should not be so hard and inflexible! They either are too small and fall out of your ears, or too large and don't fit unless you jam them in. The issues is that they are the most inflexible ear buds I have ever experienced. My Airpod, in a side by side test, has better noise canceling because they stay in and conform to the ear canals. My Airpods are also more comfortable even for a 5 hour flight. In comparison, I have to keep taking the Bose Proflight out to even tolerate a 1 to 2 hours flight due to pain and discomfort. Very disappointed in such an important ergonomic design flaw.

Fantastic

  • By A Customer from Los Angeles CA USA on Friday, April 30, 2021
  • Pros: Light weight and a quality build.
  • Review: Was contemplating between the PF2 and the A20 and went with the PF2. After using it for 3 months, I can say I do not regret my decision. It’s a quality device made by Bose yet again. The earphones take some getting used to at first, but now it’s super easy to put in. The light weight of the PF2 makes it comfortable to wear for hours at a time. I turned off the tap feature because it’s easy to take an ear bud out and put it back in. I’m on the 737 and I recommend it!

Great for eyeglass wearers

  • By ronald from Hummelstown PA USA on Sunday, September 27, 2020
  • Pros: light, don't interfere with eyeglasses
  • Review: I decided to try them because my eyeglasses interfered with the noise cancelling of my Bose headset. They are much more comfortable than I expected. After they are in for a few minutes, you cannot even feel them

Love it!

  • By Gary Lewin from Scottsdale AZ USA on Friday, September 25, 2020
  • Pros: Bose quality. Great sound. Comfortable. Light weight. Because they don’t cover the ears, sunglasses fit better and slip on and off easy.

Great Headset

  • By A Customer from Rocklin CA USA on Monday, January 20, 2020
  • Pros:
  • Review: I never thought I would ever spend so much for a headset. It is absolutely worth every dollar. One gets to customize the different attributes of this headset making it perfect.

  • Pros:
  • Review: It is comfortable to wear and carry it on your head however it is not comfortable to use it for a long time due to in-ear system. No matter how soft and how light it is, it starts to create pressure in the ear and it is quite uncomfortable.
Bose should have come up with a better on the ear headset solution.
After using only one leg on my flight, I decided to sell it to someone who thinks in ear is not a problem.
