Jacobs Radial Engine Desk Clock Overview:

This very cool Desk Clock is made from an actual 1940’s era Jacobs radial engine piston.  These dead stock pistons are machined at a 60-degree angle for easy reading.

Before turbine engines became widely available, radial engines were used in aircraft. The radial engine is a reciprocating internal combustion engine configuration, in which the cylinders radiate outward from the central crankcase. The configuration resembles spokes of a wheel or a star. It is sometimes known as a star engine in other languages.
