Pros: You have to have it in this part of Texas
Cons: Pricey - but you'll probably only need one for decades
Review:
Anything to bring some air into a Piper cockpit is appreciated, particularly here on south Texas ramps. It may be the only option on the market and a bit expensive but worth it. Installation instructions could be better in terms of placement. Most pics you see, even on pilot supply websites, don't show the best placement. Improperly - placed the vent will blow shut. Important: if you use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol to prep your window - don't get it on the scoop unit - it will permanently dull/fog the unit. Lesson learned! Instructions warn you about other agents but we'll extend it to 70% rubbing alcohol too. Use only a mild? soap and water.
